The Saxton Bulova Grandfather Clock. Handcrafted cabinet constructed of select solid hardwood and veneers. Bonnet-top pediment with hand-rubbed, book-matched crotch mahogany veneer accents. Raised crotch mahogany pattern accents on door and base. Split fluted columns with half-round turnings and black caps on top and bottom case front. Multi-step base. Hinged, tempered-glass front door with beveled edges. Tempered-glass side panels with beveled edges. Hinged, tempered-glass side movement access doors with beveled edges. Brass-finish dial features etched brass corners and center design, brass-finished chapter ring with raised Arabic numerals and offset seconds track. Arched moon dial advances daily to reflect 29 1/2 day lunar cycle. Self-adjusting, cable-wound triple-chime movement with bronze bushings and stainless steel pivots plays choice of Westminster, Whittington or St. Michael chimes. Automatic night shut-off silences chimes from 10:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Polished brass weights and lyre pendulum. Locking lower door.
